About

Mina Ma is a teacher by day and a writer by night. She teaches English Language and Literature to secondary school students, and writes short feminist literary fiction that disrupts realism, as well as creative nonfiction that blends memoir and place writing.

Mina reads widely. She likes to write poetic prose, and play with metafiction, intertextuality, narrator, and narrative structure.

Mina’s other passion is travel. She’d go almost anywhere to experience blue skies, food, and life that’s different to home.

Mina Ma is a white British woman. As well as the UK, she’s lived in Australia, southern China, and Egypt.

Mina holds a BA (Hons) in English Language & Literature (First-class), an MA in Creative Writing (Distinction), and a PGCE in Secondary English.
