Mina Ma is an English teacher by day, and a writer by night. She writes short feminist literary fiction that disrupts realism, and creative nonfiction that blends memoir and place writing. She is also a verbal storyteller; always has been and always will be.
Mina reads widely, and loves writing poetic prose, dipping into the uncanny and magical realism, and giving allies to her alienated female characters. She likes to play with metafiction, intertextuality, and narrative structure.
Mina holds a BA (Hons) in English Language & Literature (First-class), an MA in Creative Writing (Distinction), and a PGCE in Secondary English.
For avoidance of doubt, Mina is a white British woman; she married a non-British man, hence her surname. She currently lives in Cairo, Egypt.
